Iraq Secular ? Intelligence Files Suggest Otherwise !

Much has been made of the proposition Iraq,under Saddam Hussein,was "strictly secular". Glancing at the captured Iraqi Intelligence Service documents , it is clear-though the regime may have been secular at one time-it had gotten pretty devout after the First Gulf War.

This is a list of captured documents released to the public today. There are two pages, one and one half of which are devoted to religious matters !

Now let's change the subject a bit.

The Iraqi regime was well aware they were unlikely to succeed in defending the nation once Operation Iraqi Freedom began ...so, they issued some top secret instructions.
