Alex Jones,9/11 "Truthers",and Cheyenne "Contraries"

Among the Northern Cheyenne bands , there was a tiny sprinkling of distinctly odd members called "Contraries".

A Contrary would try to do the opposite of whatever the rest of the band did. He would stand when others sat , walk backwards , and stand on his head. It is said some Contraries even rode into battle facing backwards !

These eccentrics were tolerated - mainly, I suppose , because anyone who saw the behavior of a Contrary would be reminded there are everyday , commonsense "rules" of living that are not lightly disregarded. All societies need some degree of conformity in order to survive ; and , among the Cheyenne , the Contraries illustrated that concept at a glance .

Fast forward to 21st century America , and we find "Contraries" still very much with us ; but this time their audience is not a few Cheyenne youngsters , but a growing number of devotees : drawn in by radio, television, and the internet.

Today's Contraries have a "guru" of sorts : Alex Jones - ably assisted by the imaginative contributors to Prison Planet.

Spend a little time with Mr. Jones, and you will learn 9/11 was a fake,and/or a Mossad/CIA/Bilderberg/Neo-Con (I know I must be leaving somebody out !) plot.

What is the plot supposed to do ? Why, plunge America into a New World Order police state, of course ! ( You can get the details by ordering "Terror Storm" for a paltry $ 5.95 ,plus shipping and handling .)

Alex Jones "took on" the (evil) Bilderbergs a few years back at a place called Bohemian Grove. One of his fans took Jones' message very seriously in 2002,and showed up at Bohemian Grove - loaded for bear - and ready to risk all to prevent the infant sacrifices he expected to find. In case you're wondering what got me on this topic , I had a somewhat acerbic exchange with an "AJT" ( shorthand for Alex Jones Truther) , who demanded I furnish proof  the latest Osama bin Laden videos were not CIA fakes. This is a bit like trying to prove the typical AJT is of sound mind and body !

This morning, a truly sinister notion crossed my mind : If the Cheyenne used Contraries to encourage people to stick to the tried-and-true "norms" of daily living , might not those subtle CIA/Mossad/Bilderberg/Neo-Con fiends be using Alex Jones and his followers to encourage us to stick to some carefully-scripted reality that could plunge us all into some hideous New World Order Police State ?

Could the "Alex Jones Truthers" be paid shills for the blue helmet/black helicopter crowd ?

Where ( Sob !) will it all end ???
